Alamo Architects and the SWA Group completed the development of a Conceptual Master Plan for the 58 acre historic campus. The goals were to establish the programmatic needs of the campus, understand site and contextual influences, discover regulatory guidelines that will affect planning, establish key principles and conceptual ideas that will guide campus planning and design.
The primary organizational concept breaks the campus into zones of use. These zones were defined through much collaboration with University students, faculty, and administration input. They were designed to mold future development into a clear and easy-to-understand campus that can create powerful spaces and facilities that support the campus principals for development while reinforcing the strengths of the historic campus.
