Working with over 20 SAISD staff, teachers and administrators Alamo planned and designed the first new school for the inner city district since 1967.  The courtyard building draws inspiration from San Antonio’s five missions in the form of deep roof overhangs, patterned masonry generous circulation and festive colors. The courtyard functions as outdoor classroom and all school gathering place.  Native plant materials were selected and HVAC condensate water is collected for landscape irrigation.
