AlTSA_Logo_smalluse_outlinedamo Architects is grateful and honored to be recognized by the Texas Society of Architects with the 2014 Architecture Firm Award. The award will be presented to Alamo Architects at the Texas Society of Architects’ 75th Annual Convention on November 6-8, 2014 in Houston, Texas.

The Architecture Firm Award, the highest honor the Society can confer upon an architecture firm, is granted to a Texas-based firm that consistently produces notable works of architecture, and that has made contributions to the profession and community for at least ten years. In making its announcement, the Texas Society of Architects (TxA) stated that it was granting the award to Alamo Architects for its “30-year history of contributions to the Built Environment, Community, and the Profession.”

“As a firm we are both grateful and humbled by the recognition of the 2014 Architecture Firm Award. We would like to express our appreciation to our professional peers, industry colleagues and community leaders who endorsed our contributions as worthy of this award. And we are especially thankful to our visionary clients and incredible staff, past and present, whose confidence and commitment made our body of work possible.” – Mike McGlone, Principal, Alamo Architects

Alamo Architects was first nominated by AIA San Antonio in a rigorous selection process that culminated with confirmation by the TxA Board of Directors, which is comprised of leading Texas-based practitioners. Criteria include producing a consistent body of commissions of great breadth, as well as influencing the direction and/or practice of architecture in Texas. An ability to influence the profession, its own employees, and the community at large is also an important qualifying marker of this accolade.
