Alamo Architects Staff Mentors ACE Students
In October, Alamo Architects team members, Chris Ahumada and Steve Marrone led an ACE class tour of Steven Ranch Middle School. ACE is a mentoring program for high school students wanting to pursue careers in Architecture, Construction, and Engineering,
As mentors for the John Jay High School Chapter of ACE, Ahumada and Marrone meet with the students every two weeks and help them work on a design project for which they will make a final presentation at the end of the school year to local architects, contractors, engineers, and civic leaders. Throughout the year, the mentors also lead a tour for students through a construction site, an office of an engineering and architectural firm, and The UTSA School of Architecture.
Alamo Architects is proud to support ACE by having our design professionals volunteer their time and experience to meet with students, expose them to the real world Architecture, Construction, and Engineering projects, and offer them valuable information on collegiate degree plans.
