The total renovation and addition we designed for this regional shopping center in the rapidly growing Fayetteville/Springdale area of Arkansas followed a very successful earlier partial renovation and new food court we had completed for The Rouse Company in 1987.
New exterior surfaces, entrances, landscaping, lighting and parking complement the extensive interior reconfigurations, which include new food court and center court structures, new finishes and infrastructure, and an approximate doubling of gross leasable space within the mall. We also designed plans for the mall's new additions, J. C. Penney and Dillard’s department stores.
Design elements that respond to the natural beauty and folk traditions of the area enrich the welcoming look of this popular center. References to significant architecture of the Ozarks, and to trees and other natural elements pair with traditional quilt designs incorporated subtly within floor and wall surfaces.
