Costa Verde is tucked into the small town of Clute, Texas, south of Houston and 20 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. This 188-unit multi-family garden home project is located on a site with a large amount of heritage trees. Keeping preservation in mind, the site design took in the context of this natural condition and expanded upon maneuvering buildings and their designs around large mature trees. This project also takes advantage of skyline views of lakes on adjacent properties.
This project’s architecture lies within the confines of the regional context providing stucco finish to its exteriors. Tower-like entries at main unit entrances add depth to the façade by breaking up the elevation with projections of units and balcony elements. This affordable housing project combines a sense of upgrade to design while keeping construction costs within budget.
