Mike’s varied architectural background includes experience with major high-rise construction and coordination of many large-scale projects, as well as project design and management for Alamo Architects’ institutional clients. He has extensive experience working with San Antonio area colleges and universities, and has both previous and current involvement in projects for the City of San Antonio. In working effectively with large groups on institutional projects, the ability to listen and respond well to a client’s needs and aspirations is a priority with Alamo. “We hear this from a variety of clients: ‘You actually did listen to us. Thank you!’” Lanford says.
Another hallmark of successful architecture for Mike is broad accessibility in the built product. “There’s nothing better than to having both a 6-year-old and a 60-year-old like your building.”
