Irby Hightower

Irby Hightower
Founding Principal

Hightower is well known for his involvement in urban design, beginning with adaptive reuse projects in his early career on the East Coast, but very notably in San Antonio with the Guinness Book of World’s Records Largest Building Ever Moved: the Fairmount Hotel. He remains committed to the urban ideal: while maintaining a high volume of project work and oversight on the firm’s regional retail and multi-family housing projects, Irby has contributed many volunteer hours in support of several successful initiatives to improve and expand the San Antonio River Walk. As a founding principal with the firm, he also directs planning and development projects.
