“It’s all about relationships,” Lawrence says about the personal involvement he and the others make a priority at Alamo. “We have worked with some of our best clients for more than twenty years, sometimes surviving major management successions.” Billy is known for planning and architectural design for regional shopping centers, such as the outdoor luxury retail center The Shops at La Cantera, and retailers inculding Neiman Marcus.
His strong sense of brand presence has filtered into unexpected areas of practice as well, for example the Humane Society of San Antonio and Bexar County’s new pet adoption facility. The exuberant and upbeat new building, situated at a high-volume intersection, presented a re-branded Humane Society to the public. “We were privileged to partner with a very progressive director and board at the Humane Society. Our building clearly helped foster a significant upturn in their success rate with placing pets in new homes.”
Lawrence sees the firm establishing stronger internal leadership structure in preparing for the next wave of growth. “We have already begun to create greater depth of internal resources. With luck and continued hard work, I hope to see this trend carry us forward.”
