Alamo Architects’ design of Dr. Joe J. Bernal Middle School (NISD San Antonio) is the recipient of a Star of Distinction in the area of Sustainability by the TASA/TASB Convention Exhibit of School Architecture.  The TASA/TASB Exhibit of School Architecture showcases new and renovated Texas schools and celebrates excellence in planning and design of the learning environment.

With this distinction, Alamo’s project met and exceeded TASA/TASB’s criteria:  “Sustainable design strives to minimize the building impact on the environment, enhance student well being and connect learners with the natural environment.” 

The project will be displayed at the Exhibit of School Architecture at the TASA/TASB Convention, held October 2-4, 2015 at the Austin Convention Center.
